In Buford, GA

Gentle care for growing bodies.

Children are constantly moving—learning to crawl, climbing, running, playing, carrying backpacks, using devices, joining sports, and occasionally taking a few bumps and falls along the way.

When discomfort begins affecting sleep, movement, school, sports, or everyday play, parents want answers they can trust.

At Collin Chiropractic in Buford, Dr. Richard Collin provides careful, age-appropriate evaluations for infants, toddlers, children, pre-teens, and teenagers. He listens to parents, explains what he finds, and makes sure both you and your child feel comfortable before moving forward.

Does This Sound Like Your Child?

Children do not always describe discomfort the way adults do. Sometimes parents first notice changes in movement, posture, sleep, activity, or willingness to participate.

Your child complains of neck, back, hip, knee, or joint pain.
A recent fall, collision, or sports injury is still bothering them.
Your child avoids movements or activities they normally enjoy.
Sitting at school or doing homework seems uncomfortable.
Backpacks, gaming, or device use appear to worsen symptoms.
Your child feels sore after sports, dance, cheer, or gymnastics.
Your child has discomfort following a car accident.
You have noticed changes in movement, posture, sleep, or activity.

You know when something does not seem right. Give us a call, and we’ll help you decide whether an evaluation makes sense.

Chiropractic Care For Every Stage Of Childhood

From infants and toddlers to school-age kids, pre-teens, and teenagers, care should always reflect the child’s stage of growth and the concerns bringing the family in.

Infants And Babies

Parents may seek an evaluation when they have concerns about movement, positioning, muscle tension, or apparent discomfort. Care is extremely gentle and coordinated with the child’s pediatric provider when needed.

Toddlers And Young Children

Climbing, running, playground falls, and rapidly changing movement patterns can sometimes lead to soreness, stiffness, or hesitation with certain activities.

School-Age Kids And Pre-Teens

Backpacks, classroom sitting, playground activity, screen use, growth, dance, and recreational sports can place new demands on developing muscles and joints.

Teenagers

Teens may experience posture strain, neck or back pain, sports injuries, muscle tightness, joint discomfort, or overuse symptoms.

Your Child Should Feel Safe And Comfortable Here

“As a dad of two, I understand how important it is to know your child is being treated gently and listened to.”

“I love working with kids. I’ll listen to your concerns, explain things in a way your child can understand, and make sure they feel comfortable before we begin. Care is always gentle and adapted to their age, size, and needs. If another provider should be involved, I’ll tell you. My goal is for both you and your child to feel heard, reassured, and cared for.”

What To Expect At Your Child’s Visit

We’ll explain each step before moving forward.

The visit begins with a conversation about what you have noticed, what your child is feeling, and how the concern is affecting school, sleep, sports, play, or everyday movement.

Listens to your concerns and observations.
Gives your child time to describe what they feel.
Reviews injuries, activities, sports, and health history.
Checks posture, movement, balance, and range of motion.
Evaluates the painful area and nearby muscles or joints.
Uses appropriate orthopedic or neurological screening when indicated.
Explains findings in plain English.
Recommends referral when another provider is more appropriate.

Dr. Collin will explain what he finds and whether chiropractic care, home guidance, activity changes, or another type of evaluation may be appropriate. You will have an opportunity to ask questions before deciding what comes next.

Chiropractic care does not replace pediatric medical care. Illness, developmental concerns, neurological symptoms, or unexplained pain should be evaluated by the child’s pediatrician or an appropriate healthcare provider.

Is Pain Keeping Your Child From Being A Kid?

Let’s help them get back to the things they love.

Maybe your child is sitting out at recess, avoiding practice, struggling with a backpack, sleeping poorly, or giving up an activity they usually enjoy.

Understanding how pain is affecting your child’s life helps Dr. Collin evaluate the problem and recommend the right next step.

Care For Active Kids And Teen Athletes

Sports, dance, cheerleading, gymnastics, martial arts, running, and recreational activities can lead to strains, joint pain, falls, and overuse symptoms. Dr. Collin can evaluate musculoskeletal concerns and recommend physical therapy, orthopedic care, imaging, or another medical evaluation when appropriate.

Pediatric Chiropractic Care FAQ

Can infants receive chiropractic care?

Parents may seek an evaluation when they have concerns about an infant’s movement, positioning, muscle tension, or apparent discomfort. Any care must be extremely gentle, age-appropriate, and based on the child’s individual needs. Medical, feeding, developmental, or illness-related concerns should be discussed with the child’s pediatrician.

Is pediatric chiropractic care the same as adult care?

No. Evaluation, positioning, and care are adapted to the child’s age, size, comfort, and ability to participate. Techniques used with infants and young children are not the same as those commonly used with adults.

Can a chiropractor help a child with back or neck pain?

Chiropractic care may be appropriate for some musculoskeletal back, neck, posture, joint, or movement concerns. Dr. Collin first evaluates what may be contributing and recommends referral when another type of care is more appropriate.

Can chiropractic care help after a sports injury?

Some muscle, joint, posture, and movement concerns may be appropriate for chiropractic evaluation. Significant injuries, suspected fractures, concussions, instability, or severe symptoms require medical, orthopedic, or emergency evaluation.

What if my child is nervous?

Children are never forced into an examination or care. Dr. Collin explains what will happen, uses age-appropriate language, and gives the child time to become comfortable.
